FileBrowserGO: File Manager App Reviews

Crap

Dont even bother. Doesnt do nothing but display files. Want to stream or view? Look elsewhere!

Cannot be used

This has all the needed functions, but to do anything, I get something like 5 seconds delay window. Cant be used, hence uninstalling.

Stupid

Always needs to wait 5 to 10 sec to work, what kind of lite version is this, never buy this.

modestly helpful

Works as advertised, but does not support many file types (dont even consider music, or many image types) so of rather limited use. In addition, the ten second wait for opening any file is frustrating.

Nagware.....

I was able to connect, browse folders, and download images from the server. But, the 10sec. delay (nagware) got real old, real fast. I needed to upload files to server, but this App can not do that (or I could not figure out how). I can create new folders on server, but not upload photos to them??? So, I delete and keep looking.

Disappointed - no text editing

I wanted to buy FileBrowser as upgrade from PhoneDrive but then I found out that you cant create or edit a text file which is something I use a lot in Phone Drive.

Disappointing

I know this is a light version but the way its implemented it is absolutely frustrating. Having to wait to perform actions is downright silly, no way I would purchase the full version because I really never got to use the light version. Sorry but you just lost a sale I went with one of your competitors instead

No good

This is Not meant to be used. Waste of time. Stupid program

Waste of time

The only thing you really learn is what other crappy apps the publish. I cant even see the files avail on my media server most any free app can see without the adds.

Pathetic

Delay countdowns for every feature worth exploring. Cant even properly evaluate to give the paid version half a chance. What a joke!

Good but insistent that you buy

The app appears to work well, except that every three or so actions it pops up with a 5 second advert for the paid version. I realize that the purpose of the free version is just to see if it works for ... And thats truly all you can do with it. Will consider full version if it ever goes on sale and will look for alternatives that are cheaper.

Nagware of the worst kind

Was nagged 3 times within 1 minute trying to navigate to a single file on a server, not just nags but nags with a timed delay before I could continue. Gave up and used another app. Will be deleting this one as soon as this review is done.

Not even worth the trouble it takes to install it

This claims to be a free version of the software but is no more then a demo. The ads, which are actually just annoying interruptions, are so frequent as to make this unusable for all practical purposes. I uninstalled this almost as soon as I tried it. Avoid this and choose some other similar app.

Great App

Connects to network drives easily and the auto load of thumbnails makes it a great media player. If this updates with gif/webm functionality, its an instant purchase for me.

Useless app!

Keep Pop up advertisement and cant even finish type the username and password. After the pop up advertisements it bring you to login page need re type the password again

best for non-video...expensive

tested as NAS player its the best in the market for photos, all other apps I tried are slow in displaying thumbnails. For videos nothing comes close to Infuse3. So I am stuck with wondering if six dollars is worth it, as this free version is not for regular use.

Good app, but ...

This app is really nice and Id probably buy the full version too, but if I did, then Id use it to access my hard drive that is connected to my router. The only problem is that if my hard drive goes to sleep (idle mode), then this app wont wake it up! A friend of mine said that Files Connect can wake up the hard drive, but i hope the devs can fix this soon so I can use FileBrowser instead. Otherwise, its a great app!! Id give it 5 stars if this is fixed!

Works well!

File Browser for Business is very useful and provides functionality that is missing on my iPhone. The interface is good but the icons could be revamped to provide a flatter, cleaner, more modern look and feel. Overall though, what matters is that File Browser for Business is stable and works smoothly with all my data files. I share files across different operating systems without any hiccups, you can actually copy and move between any kind of storage. If you are looking for an app that allows you to securely browse all of the files on your network, this is definitely a great choice. I recommend that you download and try the free File Browser Lite app to test features and connectivity.

Seems to work on iPhone but not iPad

very strange. Computer found by scan on from both IOS devices, but can only access files from iPhone. Tapping on connect from iPad results in an error

Did not work at all

Good thing I tried the free version before looking at the paid version. Trying to connect from iPad (iOS 8.4) to Mac (10.7.5) did not work at all. I just kept asking for password over and over. I tried enabling SMB sharing on the Mac but that did not help.
